Erik is an open hearted compassionate person who lives each day with passion and purpose. He lives intentionally and strives to take care of his physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Bodywork and massage therapy is not just an occupation, it is his true calling. His training and intuition developed over the years has produced a unique specialized skillset that has blessed him with the ability to achieve exceptional results that go beyond the scope of others in the industry.
With more than two decades of experience, Erik is the go-to person for results. Erik focuses on general well-being and stimulates the natural healing powers each body possesses in order to fight off chronic pain and dysfunction to bring the body back into balance.
Erik just moved to Charleston South Carolina from Park City Utah. Prior to moving to Utah, Erik was recognized as the Indy Best of the Best Top Pro Massage Therapist in 2017 and 2018 and the Indy Best Massage Therapist in 2015 and 2016.
Erik earned his degree in deep tissue, sports and swedish massage from Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis. He passed the National Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination, or MBLEx , issued by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). This very difficult exam tests your knowledge and understanding in: anatomy and physiology; kinesiology; pathology; physiological benefits; client assessment and treatment; ethics, laws, regulations and boundaries; and professional practice guidelines.
He trained in Sedona Arizona under John Barnes, the creator of myofascial release, to learn myofascial release therapy including certification in myofascial one, myofascial two and myofascial unwinding. He received his certification in Muscle Release Technique under Michael Young and is one of only 26 in the country trained through the advanced level through the course in Golden Colorado. He trained and worked with Brian Bronk, DC to learn and practice Advanced Muscle Reconditioning (AMR) in Venice Beach California. He is certified in Reiki level I, II, III and Master and continued his training to earn the highest level of Reiki Master Teacher certification with training in both Bloomington Indiana and Chicago Illinois. He was trained at the Secretariat Center in Lexington Kentucky and obtained certification in The Masterson Method, an integrative approach to healing horses and dogs.
He has also obtained additional training and skill sets in: intuition, therapeutic touch, chronic pain relief, zone therapy, horse and dog therapy. He inspires healing and wellness through intention and action and has helped and touched the lives of hundreds of clients and people throughout the United States.
In his spare time, Erik loves outdoor adventure and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, camping, kayaking, skiing and swimming in the ocean. He also spends time with friends listening to live music, attending art shows, going to the farmer’s market and traveling.
